Dear Friend,
October 7, 2023 is a day that will be forever etched in the hearts of the Jewish people.
October 7, 2023 the day of the largest massacre of Jewish people since the Holocaust.
October 7, 2023 the day that ignited worldwide antisemitism.
We the Jewish people are resilient. We the Jewish community of S. Lake County will unite and rise to the occasion. We will never forget and we will prevail.
It is crucial that this Simchat Torah 2024 be celebrated with unparalleled fervor and joy. It is important that we dance like we’ve never danced. It is important that we laugh and sing as one united voice. Please mark your calendars now for Thursday October 24, 2024 we will bring the house down!
To honor and memorialize the 1200 beautiful lives lost, we, at Chabad of S. Lake County, will purchase a beautiful Torah Cover, Portraying two figures dancing together with the neshamos - Souls of those taken from us, rising toward a radiant "Am Yisrael Chai." Each one of the rising circles of light represent one of the 1200+ holy souls, remembered and not forgotten.
We invite you and the entire community to participate in this meaningful memorial event and project. A fundraiser to make this a reality is now open. To take part in this meaningful event and project please click the button below.
Any amount small or large is welcomed, however a "mere" $100 will get your name on a holiday board that will stand proudly in our new center during Simchat torah.
Please dig deep and help us show our support and remind the world we are G-ds chosen people and we do not succumb to hate. Time is of essence as we want to make this a reality before the Yahrzeit of these holy souls.
